This is better than I expected! As an anglophone typique, I feel the impact of French culture and politics, but I don't spend much time thinking about it.  Magny hits on a wide spectrum of modern activities in which French people engage.  From staying thin to faire la bise.  Actually, fast food and dating apps are increasingly popular.  One thing to note is the author's awareness of left-wing indoctrination.  It doesn't mean that right-wing is better, just that many folks are stuck in the system.  Those who are good at creating wealth are fleeing the powerful taxman.  Those dependent on the bureaucracy continue to increase in number and pessimism, while the large state-sponsored media outlets persist.
