As the title suggests, this book has a prescriptive tone.  Though Harari is quite thoughtful and unafraid to wax philosophic, I feel like most of his "lessons" are fairly shallow generalizations.  Nonetheless, there are entertaining musings on technology, politics, religion, ethics, and other human topics.
