Joyful by Ingrid Fetell Lee
5.5 out of 10Firstly, let me say that finding workaday joy is great. Ingrid Fetell Lee divides things (such as glitter, balloons, outlandish architecture, Rockette dancers, plants, lighting, etc.) into a few categories and shares personal anecdotes about her research on the topic of elation. There is nothing wrong with reading a book to gain someone's perspective on a subject. However, due to a fairly shallow and self-centered writing style, I consider the quality of this book to be only slightly above neutral.
