A Very Short History of the Israel-Palestine Conflict by Ilan Pappe
7 out of 10

The world has its eyes on a strip of land on the shores of the eastern Mediterranean.  Since 1947, Zionists and anti-Zionists have aggressively quarrelled with each other.  The Six Days War; the Yom Kippur War; the Munich Olympics; the PLO; Hamas; the Oslo Accords; the assassination of Israeli PM, Yitzhak Rabin; the Camp David Accords; October 7, 2023; Refugees; Apartheid; Jihadists; guerrilla fighters; Intifadas; Benjamin Netanyahu; and other major events in the ongoing conflict.

160 pages ultimately advocating decolonization and dejudification.  Even if secular factions win against theocrats, Pappe believes that a Jewish state is destined to fail.

The author is appropriately articulate, but he is very quick to condemn one side and defend the other.
