Euclid used 5 axioms to derive all of planar geometry.

In the 1700s, Enlightenment thinkers attempted to derive legal systems with a small set of rights.  This caused a lot of problems.  What should be done with kings?  European civil law contains 1000s of Napoleonic codes and additionally harkens back references to other legal systems.  Abraham Lincoln presented compelling logic against slavery, but a destructive war was still fought.

Not everything is calculable.  Undifferentiable.  Infinately fractal.  This sentence is false.

Real life is messy.  Turbulence.  Freedom.  Justice.  What is the probability of a false conviction?  What is the likelihood of an erroneous acquittal?  Are juries credible?  Are algorithms?  Should we trust clinical research?  Which public policies will be effective?  What should be done when someone's will is ambiguous?  Does AI do ethical things?  Will we continue to oscillate between faith and disillusionment?
