Increasingly larger volumes of people, goods, energy, capital, and data consistently flow around the world.  Khanna argues that--despite efforts to add friction--this trend will prevail. Chinese and American firms will continue to build infrastructure to enhance their intercontinental supply-chain empires. The integration between East, West, North and South will grow tighter:  High-speed trains. Mega canals.  New global cities hoping to emulate "the Dubai effect". The digital revolution bringing jobs to a growing middle class in developing areas, creating global opportunities for people other than Davos Men and cosmocratic elites.

There are risks and costs, but, ultimately, this postnationalistic decentralized network will produce a more sentient planet.
