Most advice books belong in a compost heap.  This one can be gently placed in a waste paper basket.  Super smart and relatively likable, the wife and husband author about adaptive traits, consciousness, culture, modernity, themselves, and sustainability.  There is an obvious irony that evolutionary biologists would try to give life tips.  The duo show glimpses of self-awareness when discussing change, variance, game theory, and reductionism.  Nonetheless, there are some nice educational nuggets to keep the reader's brain active--like why it is ok to eat some stinky cheeses.
