Does Steve Brusatte do an above average job discussing the narrative and explaining how such information came about?  Does he also enthusiastically focus the story on his own career?  Did you know that T-rexes evolved after the breakup of Pangea and spent their entire time in North America?  Are you privy to the fact that iridium is indicative of an asteroid collision?  Do you recognize the name Walter Alvarez?  Is that important?  Are you nerdy enough to read a book that is almost purely academic?  I am.
